8 Minute At-Home Cardio Workout

Cardio is hardio.

There.

I said it.

I know it's good for my health, so I suck it up and do it anyway.

With so many people looking for at-home workouts, I decided to share some of my routines.

I do other at-home workouts daily, but I like to add this routine in every three or so days to really keep me on my toes (literally).

*BONUS* -- This workout doesn't require any equipment! All you need is a big enough area to run around. (I filmed this workout outside, but typically I do it in my basement.)

First things first, the workout:

  1. Jumping Jacks (2 minutes)

  2. Forward/Backward Run (2 minutes)

  3. High Knees (2 minutes)

  4. Diagonal Run (2 minutes)

You can also swap (or add if you're feeling ambitious) butt kicks, plank jacks, and/or skaters.

This workout was originally 10 minutes long, but when I filmed the plank jacks, my form was pretty rough. Needless to say, it got cut!

However, I normally choose five moves to do for two minutes each, and then run for 10 minutes.

The following video will show you how to do each move and hopefully get you inspired to get your cardio on!

Now tie your shoes, grab some water and crank your favorite music. It's time to sweat!
