HELLO! I'm screaming over here because it's Shamrock Shake season (my most favorite time of year)! AND new this year, McDonald's introduced the Shamrock Shake's bestie: Oreo Shamrock McFlurry!
WHAT?! I know. You're excited too, right?
This is the 50th Shamrock Shake season, so McDonald's decided we are all lucky and graced us with the Oreo Shamrock McFlurry as well as the Shamrock Shake.
Never had one? What is this green drink I'm obsessed with? It's mint flavored, and I'm a super fan.
Shamrock Shake:
It's creamy vanilla soft serve blended with Shamrock syrup (aka mint flavoring) topped with whipped cream.
Oreo Shamrock McFlurry:
Creamy vanilla soft serve, blended with Shamrock syrup (again this is the mint flavoring) and has Oreo cookie pieces mixed throughout.
My thoughts on the two? I love the Shamrock Shake. Forever and always. The Oreo Shamrock McFlurry was pretty good. At some ice cream shops in Michigan, I get an Oreo flurry with mint sauce and cookie dough mixed in -- almost the same as the Oreo Shamrock McFlurry.
If you're looking to try just one (assuming you haven't tried either before), I recommend the shake. There's a reason it's been around for 50 years!
