XO Marshmallow is a marshmallow lover's heaven

When I went to Chicago last fall, XO Marshmallow was on my list of places I wanted to go.

But I didn't.

My short trip was just that -- short.

I packed so many places into my visit (like seven ice cream places in 2.5 days -- check out my Chicago Ice Cream Guide).

I was extremely bummed I missed out on a place that is so unique and totally Insta-worthy!

I have been following XO Marshmallow on Instagram for quite some time now and drooling every time I see their new post.

Fast forward to now because I know y'all are here to know about what I got, how it tasted and what I recommend... right?

There are dozens of tasty marshmallow treats to choose from. So many that it was hard for me to pick... not to mention I was online shopping for these snacks on an empty stomach. Oops.

I placed an order for the Classic Marshmallow Dream Bar, the Limited Edition Mocha Latte Marshmallow Dream Bar, Marshmallow Turtles, and Oh Dough You Didn't Edible Cookie Dough Cups.

First up on my review is the Marshmallow Dream Bars.

Mocha Latte Dream Bar and Classic Dream Bar

Limited Edition Mocha Latte Marshmallow Dream Bar (set of 2)

These are made with gluten free cocoa pebbles and coffee marshmallows.

-NOTE: I'm not a coffee drinker. I got these simply because my family said it sounded good, and I was in the sharing mood.

-These definitely had a mocha latte taste to it and a semi-strong after taste (for a non-coffee drinker).

-I think these would be great paired with coffee or hot chocolate.

-They're very soft. Love that.

-I felt fancy eating this. I don't know why. Maybe it was the coffee flavor.

Classic Marshmallow Dream Bar (set of 2)

These are made with toasted rice cereal and vanilla marshmallows.

-Tastes just like homemade Rice Krispie treats!

-These were soft too (just like the Mocha Latte Dream Bars).

-It smells HEAVENLY -- like give me the whole pan of these.

-I really did feel like I took a trip down memory lane when I would eat these treats as a kid... probably why I hid the rest of these Dream Bars, so I don't have to share!

Marshmallow Turtles

Marshmallow Turtles (set of 2)

What you're looking at is toasted pecans on the bottom, topped with decadent homemade caramel sauce, a fluffy layer of vanilla marshmallows and dipped in dark chocolate.

-This has a great caramel taste and very nutty.

-The marshmallow adds a unique taste.

-I love caramel, but this definitely was getting stuck in my teeth.

-For the marshmallows' sake, these are supposed to be stored in the refrigerator, but that made the caramel very hard.

Oh Dough You Didn't Cookie Dough Cups

Oh Dough You Didn't Cookie Dough Cups (set of 2)

These treats are made with gluten free edible chocolate chip cookie dough topped with a layer of vanilla marshmallow, dipped in dark chocolate and topped with crunchy chocolate sprinkles.

-WHAT A TREAT THIS IS!

-I loved the cookie dough.

-I loved the marshmallow layer.

-Good thing this only came with two because I could not stop eating them.

So let me clear up my thoughts for y'all one last time:

-If I could only pick one thing out of the four items I ordered, it would be the Oh Dough You Didn't Cookie Dough Cups. I do believe my taste in food is a lot younger than I am -- meaning I love all the treats I had as a child and haven't exactly graduated to the finer delicacies... yet.

If you're a marshmallow lover, there are WAY more treats listed on XO Marshmallows website. Check them out!
